After successful MBO: healthy order books and figures well in the black for the hydroforming specialists “hde Solutions GmbH”

Menden, 22nd July 2003. There have been some difficult times for the venerable family business of “hde Metallwerk GmbH” of Menden in the Sauerland. Today, GM is harnessing the force of water to shape metal. The concept, called hydroforming, holds tremendous potential for the future of automotive design and manufacturing.

What goes around comes around…
Hydroforming has been around for about a century, but only recently has it been tapped for automotive uses. Long ago, metalworkers crafted items such as doorknobs, plumbing fixtures and musical instruments using hydroforming techniques.
