Posted by: Hydro_Publishing on Sunday, October 06, 2002 - 06:09 PM
All Topics Rockford, Ill. -- The TPJ® Symposium, anticipated as the 2003 event for leaders in the tube and pipe industry, is scheduled for Mar. 16 - 18 at the Radisson Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz. Sponsored by the industry's leading publication, TPJ - The Tube & Pipe Journal®, and the Tube & Pipe Association, International® (TPA), the symposium will deliver the latest topics and trends related to the technical management of a tube and pipe operation.

The keynote speaker for this event is economic futurist Jeff Thredgold, a popular speaker with a
compelling message and galvanizing delivery. Jeff will lead an up-to-the-minute "tour" of the
economy, financial markets, education, and government; plus a sneak preview of the future that
will open your eyes to how the economy will affect the tube and pipe industry in 2003 and
beyond. (For more information about the keynote, please visit

Two high-profile general sessions also are scheduled. Kim Conant, Environmental Compliance
Consultants Inc., will explore the regulatory issues that plague the tube and pipe industry. F. John
Mathis of Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management, will
discuss the outlook for the U.S. dollar. Sit in on technology-specific topics in your choice of four
tracks: stainless steel tube and pipe producing; carbon steel tube and pipe producing; tube and
pipe fabricating; and extrusion, drawing, and tube reducing.

The Radisson Resort & Spa Scottsdale (, a resort oasis in the heart
of charming Scottsdale, is a three-year recipient of the Gold Key Award. Nestled between
Saguaro cacti and beautiful Camelback Mountain, the Radisson will be the site of two

You're invited to join fellow attendees at a golf outing to Camelback Golf Club
( Camelback offers one of the finest golf
experiences in the Southwest, and delivers the rich traditions of quality service and commitment
to excellence its name has represented for more than 60 years.

As a TPJ Symposium attendee, you'll also have the option to tour Bank One Ballpark
( in Phoenix. This stadium is the only facility in the world that
combines a retractable roof, air conditioning, and a natural turf field, allowing for complete
